A BILL to amend and reenact section one, article six, chapter
sixty-four of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine
hundred thirty-one, as amended, relating to authorizing the
division of corrections to promulgate a legislative rule
relating to parole supervision.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That section one, article six, chapter sixty-four of the code
of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended,
be amended and reenacted to read as follows:
ARTICLE 6. AUTHORIZATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF MILITARY AFFAIRS AND



PUBLIC SAFETY TO PROMULGATE LEGISLATIVE RULES.
§64-6-1. Division of corrections.

(a) The legislative rule filed in the state register on the
fifth day of August, one thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, under
the authority of section eighteen, article one, chapter twenty-five
of this code, modified by the division of corrections to meet the
objections of the legislative rule-making review committee and
refiled in the state register on the twenty-first day of October,
one thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, relating to the division of
corrections (monitoring of inmate mail, 90 CSR 7), is authorized.

(b) The legislative rule filed in the state register on the
first day of September, two thousand, authorized under the
authority of section two, article thirteen, chapter sixty-two, of
this code, modified by the division of corrections to meet the
objections of the legislative rule-making review committee and
refiled in the state register on the twenty-fifth day of October,
two thousand, relating to the division of corrections (parole
supervision, 90 CSR 2 ), is authorized.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Division of
Corrections to promulgate a legislative rule relating to Parole
Supervision.
